Project: 2025 Budget Document – “Budget of Commitment and Resilience”

The Brief

Every year, Gombe State releases its annual budget to lawmakers, civil servants, and the public. But this year was different. The 2025 budget was titled “Budget of Commitment and Resilience”;  a statement of strength after economic challenges. The government needed a printed document that felt weighty, professional, and symbolic not just a stack of stapled papers.

The Challenge

Budget documents are traditionally dry and utilitarian. Gombe State wanted to change that perception. They needed:

• A premium uncoated cover that could carry metallic foil.

• Legislative-ready durability (handled by dozens of officials).

• Perfect color matching for the state crest and accent colors.

• A tight 10‑day turnaround from PDF to delivery.

The Valid8 Solution

We moved fast. After the material consultation, we settled on:

• Cover: 350gsm kraft‑textured board with matte lamination.

• Foil stamping: Gold foil on the title and “25” emblem for a commemorative feel.

• Inside: 120gsm natural white offset paper – no glare, easy annotation.

• Binding: Section‑sewn + glued spine for lay‑flat reading.

• Finishing: Blind emboss of the Gombe State logo on the back cover.

Our prepress team ran color proofs to match the exact green of the state flag. We also paginated 284 pages without a single numbering error, a budget book nightmare we’ve solved many times.
